We simply go above and beyond what is expected to please our customers.
Our Rug Cleaning Process
1. Inspect
First we check out the rug on a minute level, measuring and inspecting for spots, stains, burns, or even holes. We perform pH and dye transfer tests to ensure that we do not cause damage to your rug in the process of cleaning it.
2. Remove Dust and Dirt
This is one of the most important parts of the cleaning process. Pre-vacuum all surfaces to be cleaned using CRI certified commercial-grade canister vacuums equipped with HEPA filters. This prepares the fibers for preconditioning and hot water extraction cleaning.
3. Pre-Conditioner
Application of a special pre-conditioner spray to break down oiling or sticky substances left behind by spills, food, body oils, etc.
4. Agitation
Agitate heavily soiled areas with a rotary scrubber to work in pre-conditioner. This helps increase the effectiveness of the pre-conditioner that has been applied.
5. Hot Water Extraction
Clean the rug using hot water extraction (either a portable or truck mount system). Some rug-fibers require cold water, in those cases heat is not utilized. A rinsing agent is utilized in the cleaning process to make sure the pH balance of the fabric is returned to neutral.
6. Apply Carpet Protector
Hot water extraction cleaning removes the original carpet protector from the fibers, therefore it is highly recommended by to re-apply carpet protector after cleaning. This helps the fabric to be more resistant to soils or stains and easier to clean in the future.
7. Post Cleaning Inspection
Final walkthrough of cleaned rug to ensure the client is pleased with the outcome.
